2021 - 2022 COVID-19 Information

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS & PROCEDURES

It is incumbent upon all of us to continue to protect the health and well-being of our students and staff who are unvaccinated by remaining diligent in carrying out mitigation strategies, including:

  • Ensuring students who are not feeling well stay home.
  • Distancing of three-foot or the greatest extent possible.
  • Continued handwashing/sanitizing protocols and respiratory etiquette.
  • Encouraging students to mask indoors when physical distancing cannot be maintained.
  • Continued quarantining for close contacts.
  • Continued mitigation cleaning and sanitizing strategies.
  • Ensuring vaccinations are up to date, including the COVID-19 vaccine, if appropriate.

We remain partners with the Calhoun County Health Department to keep our schools and community safe. We continue to fully cooperate with all health orders

November 10, 2021

Harper Creek Families,

The Calhoun County Department of Public Health (CCDPH) recently informed us of new close-contact quarantine options for schools. Please find below information on the new procedure options for schools that do not require universal masking.

Option #1   10-day quarantine

Option #2   7-day quarantine with a negative test on day 6 or 7

Option #3 Daily testing for 7 days AND mask at all times, including extracurricular activities.

Testing options are not required. If a family chooses not to test, a 10-day quarantine is mandatory. At this time we are only able to provide home tests for option #2 due to the lack of inventory. We will provide home tests for families choosing option #3 once additional tests become available.

Best Regards,
Rob Ridgeway
