WE’RE BACK!

After 60 years of serving local families, Cub Scout Pack 356 closed its doors in 2021. Now, we are excited to announce that Pack 356 is back and ready for a new beginning!

Pack 356 is a family-focused Cub Scout pack welcoming boys and girls in grades K–5.

Parents, we invite you to join us for an Information Night to learn more about Cub Scouting and the exciting opportunities Pack 356 can offer your child and family.

Cub Scouts give children opportunities to build confidence, learn new skills, make new friends, explore the outdoors, serve their community, and have fun while creating memories that can last a lifetime.

Your participation supports programs and services for patients and families at Bronson Children's Hospital, the only children's hospital in southwest Michigan.

2026 Harper Creek Homecoming Parade Registration is NOW OPEN!

The Homecoming Parade Committee is excited to announce that registration is officially open for the 2026 Homecoming Parade on Friday, October 2nd!

Each year, our parade brings together fall sports teams, junior football, student clubs, community organizations, first responders, and our incredible marching band for a fun community celebration. As tradition continues, the Corvette Club will once again escort our Homecoming Court.

This year's parade theme is:

MUSIC/HARPERPALOOZA

We invite community groups, organizations, businesses, teams, and families to participate by entering a float or walking together in the parade.

Important Dates •

Preferred registration deadline: September 17, 2026
• Final registration deadline: September 24, 2026
• Parade Day: October 2, 2026

Once registrations are finalized, participants will receive their lineup assignments. Floats and groups should be in their designated spots by 4:45 PM on parade day.

Due to the growing number of participants, we are exploring an expanded staging area to help improve parade flow this year.

Baton Twirling Classes for Battle Creek

Baton Twirling Classes

Come join the fun and learn how to twirl a baton!

Baton twirling is making a comeback as the latest and greatest sensation! Don’t miss out on all the fun!

Dates: Every Tuesday beginning September 22^nd ending Dec 15^th

Times: Ages 4-7, 5:45-6:30 p.m. Ages 8-20, 6:30-7:15 p.m.

Registration: On September 22^nd at baton class.

Location: North Avenue Church of God Gymnasium

1079 North Avenue, Battle Creek, Michigan, 49017

Cost: $10/week to be paid at each class. $11 registration fee to be paid at first class. Batons will be available for purchase at class for $35. Payment plans for batons available: $20 the first week, then $5 each week until paid off.

Students can earn awards!

Our baton twirling classes not only focus on teaching children how to twirl a baton, our classes encourage teamwork, poise, hand-eye coordination, as well as help children build their self-esteem. Students learn baton twirling tricks in class as well as routines. Students will also have an opportunity to be in a competition and a parade.
