Attention Staff and Students! Students, please remember to deposit your LEAD tickets in the grade-level bin in the cafeteria.  Teachers don't forget to sign them so that you have a chance to win a prize too! Starting at the end of the month, there will be a prize for the student in each grade level who has received the most Lead Tickets.

Movement Challenge Results: First place goes to 7th,grade with 695 movement breaks. Great job, 7th grade!

In 2nd place, 8th grade with 689 movement breaks. 3rd place, 6th grade, with 361 movement breaks. Last but not least, 5th grade with 347 movement breaks. 

No chess club this Thursday due to parent/teacher conferences.

Attention 8th graders! Are you interested in working backstage for the musical? There will be an informational meeting at the high school on Tuesday, February 10th, from 3:00 pm to 3:45 pm. The meeting has been moved to the black box near the high school auditorium.  Hear about our great opportunities, even if you didn't fill out the form. Additionally, Ms. Hurley has added a full cast rehearsal on Tuesday, February 10. Please plan accordingly. This is for needed choreo and vocal rehearsals that were missed during the snow days.

Students: Don’t forget to check the Lost and Found this week while you’re here during the school day or during conferences—we have lots of items waiting to be claimed!

Attention 5th & 6th grade girls! Girls on the Run is back! Come run, laugh, and build new friendships. Registration is open now—stop by the main office to grab a flyer and sign up. Our running adventure starts on Tuesday, March 10! Teachers:  Girls on the Run is seeking coaches! Interested in getting involved or know someone who is? Contact Ms. Mayhew to learn how. 

In Sports News:

Attention Clay Target Participants: There will be a parent meeting for the 2026 Harper Creek Clay Target team on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. The meeting will be in the High School Cafeteria and will begin at 7:00 pm. 

The 8th grade girls basketball teams traveled to Jackson Western last night, and both teams came out on top! The B team had a big win over the Panthers, beating them 25 to 9. Top scorers were:

Jordyn White and Hailey Green each had 8 points

Briella Fry and Abby Miller with 6 points each

Adi Waterson had 5 points

And Rachel Rangel had 2 points

The A team played a tough, back-and-forth game and finished the job with a 28-24 win. Top scorers were:

Lily Gandy with 9 points

Peyton Bess had 7 points

Jazmin Landenberger had 5 points

Kinsey Jozwiak had 4 points

And Aaliyah Noel had 3 points

Keep working together, girls! Also, girls, please remember, we will be practicing at the high school today.

7th grade girls basketball A team lost a close one to Western last night, 43-41. Lauren Casselman scored 22 points.

Reese Danielson and Payton Smith scored 8 points and Mila Heil scored 3 points. 

The 7th Grade B Team battled hard but lost to Western.
