Attention Staff and Students! Students, please remember to deposit your LEAD tickets in the grade-level bin in the cafeteria. Teachers don't forget to sign them so that you have a chance to win a prize too!
Congratulations to the 7th grade choir for receiving a "one" at choir festival last Friday night! Congratulations to the 8th grade choir for also scoring a "one" on Saturday afternoon. Both choirs sang for a panel of judges and were scored based on their performance of two songs and the ability to sight read. A "one" is an excellent rating and the highest category a choir can earn. Now the choirs will have the opportunity to sing at the state level in a few weeks. Great job to these very talented students!
All students who have signed up for Matilda Jr: please plan to meet in the cafeteria after school. Look for the table with the Matilda Jr sign and sit there.
Attention 5th through 7th graders: Please take home the Author Visit form. If you would like a signed copy of the author's book, you must return the form by Monday, March 23rd.
Reminder for Girls on the Run: Your first practice is tomorrow, March 10th. You will meet up in Ms. Bryant's classroom. Practice is every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
Tickets are now on sale in the high school main office for the spring musical: Drowsy Chaperone. Student tickets are only $10! See the musical mayhem this March 20th, 21st, and 22nd. This show is rated PG-13.
In Sports News:
Attention 7th and 8th grade girls who played basketball: If you have your game and practice jerseys, please bring them to Mrs. Ries's classroom after morning announcements. If you do not have them today, please return them to Mrs. Ries by the end of the week.
Attention middle school students interested in playing tennis! Try-outs will be held on March 23rd and 24th. There will be a parent meeting on March 23rd at 4:00 pm. Remember, you must have a sports physical on file to try out, and there is a $30 sports fee. Please see Coach Eddy or Coach Lindsey if you have any questions.
