Today is an A Day
Happy Birthday today to: Ivy Aldrich, Liberty Burton, Trentan Miller, and Brooklyn Ruiz
When it comes to LEAD expectations, we have been absolutely killing it! Ya'll are tough. In the cool way. It would be even tougher if we are intentional about demonstrating safety in and out of school. What does that look like you ask?! Keeping a calm voice when hanging with your friends (we should totally be reserving that shrill scream for emergencies), horseplaying with your friends at home NOT at your lunch table, following protocol during fire drills (ps- staff... perfect time to give out LEAD tickets for safety), saying no to things not good for our health... swapping out that energy drink for good ole fashioned water or saying "nah, bruh" to vapes and other drugs. You're already a great leader, now let's level up!
Attention students who are in Follies. Practices for this week have been cancelled.
Costumes:
Students may wear costumes at school on tomorrow with the following rules in place:
Costume must meet dress code
No weapons
No masks or On Face Coverings
Inflatables may only be worn during the assembly
All other costume parts, pieces, and paint (applied at home) must not be distracting
Hats are allowed
All costumes should be school appropriate (Dress code)

Thankful Thursday:
Halloween is all about spooky surprises, but middle school can feel scary sometimes, too! That’s why today we’re thankful for the people who make life a little easier, brighter, and less overwhelming—friends who make us laugh, teachers who encourage us, and people who make sure we are included.
Your Thankful Thursday challenge: Think of one person who makes your life less scary and thank them today! A little kindness can make a BIG difference.
With all the Halloween tricks this week, find time to be the treat. Do you part to increase belonging at HCMS!
⭐Peer-to-Peer please head to the library.
