HCCS will create, adopt, and follow a consistent curriculum to ensure all students receive a quality education aligned with their individual needs.

    • 2023-2024 – Scope and sequences updated for timing
    • 2023-2024 – 50% of curricular units completed and reviewed
    • 2024-2025 – 100% of curricular units completed and reviewed
    • Develop appropriate funding and a resource plan to achieve goal
    • Administration will continue to ensure staff engagement

Learning Environment & Culture

HCCS will adopt and embrace a Professional Learning Community structure to significantly improve student achievement.

  • Increase the number of Professional Learning Community trained staff to support full implementation
  • Ensure collaboration across buildings and grade levels
  • Increase administrative engagement with building Professional Learning Teams

Communication & Engagement

HCCS will develop a multimedia communication plan for all stakeholders to ensure complete, timely, and consistent communication.

  • Establish communication priorities
  • Identify consistent, and effective communication platforms
  • Create written, aligned communications protocol for district, buildings, and classrooms
  • Develop comprehensive training plan for the use of communication tools for staff, students, parents, and community




HCCS will continue to update its capital plans to ensure we have the optimal capacity to meet current and future infrastructure needs.

  • Evaluate the district’s current capital and building status

  • Introduce a bond initiative based on current needs by establishing community support through engagement
  • Develop ongoing capital and building priorities for the future of the district

  • Develop a comprehensive succession plan by understanding the current status of staff career goals and retirement plans
