Harper Creek Community Schools will once again provide free summer meals for children through its Summer Meal Service Program. The program is open to all children under the age of 18, regardless of where they live or attend school. Families do not need to be enrolled in Harper Creek Community Schools or live in Harper Creek to participate.

Meal distribution will take place every Thursday from June 11 through August 13 at Harper Creek High School, located at 12677 Beadle Lake Road in Battle Creek. Families can use the drive-through service at the Varsity Hall entrance and look for the Fork in the Road Food Truck.

During each pickup, parents or guardians will receive a seven-day supply of breakfast and lunch meals for each eligible child. Meals are bulk-packed and designed to provide one breakfast and one lunch per day for seven days. Pickup hours are 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Only parents or guardians may pick up meals for children age 18 and younger, unless the individual is enrolled in a special education program and eligible through age 26.

The Summer Meal Service Program helps ensure children continue to have access to nutritious meals while school is not in session.
