Musical Artist Edgar René performed at Harper Creek High School’s auditorium for Harper Creek Community Schools’ third and fourth graders, HCCS Middle and High School Spanish students, St. Philip Catholic High School Spanish students, Marshall High School Students, and Fremont International Academy students. René’s visit was made possible by a Bcreative Arts grant from the Miller Foundation.

Sr. René put on an energetic show, bringing the students to their feet, dancing, jumping, waving their glow bracelets, and singing along, giving a true rock musical experience.

Thank you to Sra. Lesa Kenney and Sra. Vanessa Hunt for obtaining the Bcreative grant and working with Sra. René to bring this world-class performance to the students of Harper Creek Community Schools and neighboring schools. Thank you also to the classroom teachers, tech, facilities, and transportation for making this experience memorable for all who attended.

Harper's Unsung Hero - Matt Bilger

Matt grew up in the Bilger family, the second of four children. He was different than his siblings, the first in his family to participate in athletics. Through these differences, Matt has been able to find his own niche as a teacher and a coach. He has developed a passion for his career, making an impact on current and former Harper Creek students.

Harper's Unsung Hero - Karen Westlake

Karen spent her career seeing the world working in the airline industry. The experiences as an airline attendant provided a lifetime of memories.
