Friday, April 12, 2024 Today is an A Day

Happy Birthday to: Kathryn Leamy   Saturday: Elijah Stanton, Makenna Walter

 

The Track and Field teams had their first meet on Wednesday against Northwest.  

Both teams had a great start with the boys dominating Northwest with a score of 107 to 25.  

Asher Bartlett took first in the mile run followed closely by Charlie Cotts and Jojo Ruble. 

Ruble also took first in the 200 meter hurdles with Jackson Selbee in second. 

In the 55 meter hurdles Josh Ilgenfritz set a personal record and won gold.  

Brock Yancer and Sean Johnson also set personal records in the shot put winning first and second place.  

Logyn Katsarsky sailed his way to first place in the 2 mile run, with Cooper Monroe and Jackson Hunt on his heels in second and third place.  

Jackson also took first in the 800 meter run with Zach Krebs and Zander Misner earning second and third for the Beavers.  Krebs also took first in the pole vault tying his own school record at 8 feet 6 inches.  

Gavin Chapman sprinted his way to victory in the 70 meter dash.  Trace Edwards earned a first place in the 100 meter dash with Isaac Torres in third.  

Cash Randol added to the Harper win with a first in the 200 meters and high jump.

Chapman, Edwards, Torres, and Randol set the school record in the 400 meter relay with a scorching time of 48.1 seconds.

Their next meet will start at 4:30 on Wednesday at home against Pennfield.  

Tennis-REMINDER: NO PRACTICE TODAY (FRIDAY)  Also, tennis shirts are in. Please bring the $8 to Mrs. Lindsey or Mr. Selva ASAP.  You will not get a shirt until we receive the money.  Player fees are also due.  Please turn the money in to Mrs. Barnes in the office. Our next match is Monday at home against Coldwater. Please be at the courts by 3:30.

Tickets for the spring musical Annie are on sale in the high school main office. The show is this Friday, April 12th and Saturday, April 13th at 7 PM and Sunday, April 14th at 2 PM. The show features many middle and high school students, has live music, and is lots of fun! We hope to see you there.

5th Grade M-Step Testing is today. Good Luck!! Remember, no phones or watches of any kind in the room during M-Step or PSAT testing. Students- reminder you cannot have your cell phone out bell to bell. It must in your locker and shut off. 

The new LEAD Ticket system has begun, if you are given a LEAD ticket, drop it in the box labeled with your grade in the cafeteria. Once a week, there will be a LEAD ticket drawing for 3 students per grade level to pick something out from the School Store on Fridays. Please see Mrs. Schultz if you have any questions.
