In softball last night, Annabelle Shea was dominant in the circle, as the right-handed pitcher rang up 10 strikeouts in Harper Creek Middle School's 11-8 victory over Hastings. Shea gave up four hits and one run over five and one-third innings while walking none. Harper Creek Middle School scored five runs on four hits in the top of the fourth inning. Waterson singled, scoring one run, Shea singled, scoring two runs, and Samiya Thompson tripled, scoring two runs. Waterson, Thompson, Shea, and Riley Vaccaro each drove in two runs for Harper Creek Middle School. Vaccaro and Vanessa Basco each stole multiple bases for Harper Creek Middle School. Harper Creek Middle School ran wild on the base paths, tallying seven stolen bases for the game. Harper Creek Middle School turned one double play in the game. Harper Creek Middle School will travel to Plainwell for their next game on Monday.
