Calling all 7th graders! The W.E.B. program needs your awesomeness to help next year’s 5th graders have a totally awesome first year at HCMS. Fill out the W.E.B. leader Google Form application before next Friday, May 2nd. See Mrs. Dell or Miss Koch with any questions. 

8th Graders- If you are applying for HS Student Council the applications are due to Mrs. Johnson by Monday, April 28th.

Reminder- If you want to order a yearbook for this year, the link to order is on the middle school web page. If you want a name stamp on it, your order must be in by April 30th.

Advisory Teachers – Hopefully, you enjoyed chapter seven of our “One Book, One School” - Restart! Question for today: When the video club is talking about Chase joining, Shoshanna is full of rage, Brendan is defiant, and the teacher is firm. Discuss the perception of each person. (Please read Chapter 8 for tomorrow.)

SPORTS NEWS – The middle school softball team triumphed over the Gull Lake Blue Devils in both matches last night, with scores of 10-8 and 10-0.

Game 1 - Offensively, Paige Kapus contributed with 3 RBIs, while Reese Danielson recorded her first hit of the season along with an RBI. Brynley Tooman also made an impact with a double and an RBI. Defensively, Peyton Bess faced 13 batters, achieving a 52% strikeout rate. Additionally, Riley Vaccaro excelled with a perfect 100% for putouts from the field.

Game 2 - On the defensive side, Annabelle Shea allowed only 2 hits, striking out six batters without any walks. Samiya Thompson was impressive behind the plate, maintaining a 100% fielding percentage on 7 chances, which included throwing out a runner attempting to steal third base. Offensively, Jazmin Landenburger, Samiya Thompson, and Paige Kapus each drove in 2 RBIs. Aisha Bontrager contributed with a single, and Lauren Lazarov also recorded an RBI.

Softball has a double header at home game tonight, Tennis heads to Battle Creek Central, Track is at Pennfield, and Lacrosse has a home meet. Good Luck to all our teams!
