Six Harper Creek High School students from the choir program participated in the Michigan State Vocal Music Association’s Solo and Ensemble event on February 8 at Lakeview High School. Solo and Ensemble is an adjudicated event where students memorize and perform two classical vocal pieces for a judge to receive feedback and a score. This is a huge event in the Michigan school choir community. Three HCHS students received the highest rating of a One, Outstanding Performance, one student received a Two, Good Performance, only missing the top rating by ONE point, and two students went ‘comments only’ to receive feedback without a score. A huge congratulations to Khloe Gibbs, Maeve Russell, Audrianna Dougherty, Calla-Lily Palik, Danaja Ferris, and Jaiden VanDyke for their incredible work! We definitely have some talented and hardworking students at HCHS, and the choir program very much appreciates your continued support so we can keep the accolades for our district coming.
