Astro Fun World

Who: 8th Grade Students

What: Semester One Celebration
Where: Astro Fun World, Battle Creek, MI
When: Friday, December 19, during the school day
Cost: $20 per student for unlimited play

On Friday, December 19, the 8th grade will be headed to Astro Fun World in Battle Creek, MI. Astro Fun World is a new local business that offers go-karting, mini-putt, arcade, inflatables, high ropes, laser tag, and virtual reality. Payment can be a check payable to Harper Creek Middle School, cash, or online using the Revtrak system. Those able and interested in contributing a donation to help alleviate financial stress on a student in need, please accompany in with your payment. All questions and concerns may be directed to Miss Kayla Whitmyer.

Attention Staff and Students! Students, please remember to deposit your LEAD tickets in the grade level bin located in the cafeteria. Teachers don't forget to sign them so that you have a chance to win a prize too! Starting at the end of the month, there will be a prize for the student in each grade level who has received the most Lead Tickets.

Holiday Spirit Week for next week is as follows: Monday: Fleece and Flannel, Tuesday: Grinch versus Santa and Elves, Wednesday: Rudolph and Misfit Toys, Thursday: Festive hat and Ugly Christmas Sweater, Friday: Cozy holiday pajamas and socks

In Sports News:

Attention Skiers and Snowboarders! The Harper Creek Ski & Snowboard Club will start going to Bittersweet Ski Area on Wednesdays in January and February. A club card will get you discounted rates at Bittersweet on Wednesdays and after 3:00 pm on Sundays. The club cards can be purchased for students or adults. If you have any questions about the ski and snowboard club, please see Mr. Crooks in room 220 (next to the turtle room) before school or during WIN.

Calling all 5th and 6th-grade girls. Are you ready to run, laugh, and make new friends? Girls on the Run is back. Sign-up begins Monday, December 1st. Stop by the office for a flyer on how to sign up.
