Get ready for an afternoon filled with music, dancing, and fun with friends at our Valentine’s Dance Party!

Thursday, February 5, 5th and 6th Grade, 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Friday, February 6, 7th and 8th Grade, 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Admission is $5.00 for the dance, and concessions will be available. This is not a formal event, so please do not bring clothes to change into.

Parents, we ask that you purchase tickets in advance to help us avoid money being dropped off in the main office on the day of the event. Students must remain at school until the dance begins at 3:00 pm. Please have your rides waiting at 5:00 pm in the parent pick-up lot on the east side of the building. We can't wait to see our Beavers on the dance floor!

Students, please remember to deposit your LEAD tickets in the grade-level bin in the cafeteria.  Teachers don't forget to sign them so that you have a chance to win a prize too! Starting at the end of the month, there will be a prize for the student in each grade level who has received the most Lead Tickets.

Students, our school-wide Movement Challenge has started. Movement breaks help students recharge, improve their focus, and prepare to learn. Throughout this competition, classes will be encouraged to take short movement breaks during the day to support both physical and mental wellness. Every time a movement break occurs, a sticker will be placed on your grade level poster that are in the hallways. The Grade level with the most stickers after Friday, February 6 will receive an award. Let’s see who can move the most, stay engaged, and bring the best energy. Game on!

In Sports News: 

On Wednesday the 8th grade girls basketball teams traveled to Jackson Northwest for their season opener, and both teams came out on top. The B team won in a nail-biter finish, 22 to 20. Top scorers were Hailey Green with 8 points, Abby Miller with 4 points, and Adilyn Waterson and Jordyn White with 2 points each. The A team won 37 to 31. Top scorers were Isa Stanley with 17 points, Lilly Gandy with 8 points, Riley Vaccaro with 4 points, and Kinsey Jozwiak and Aaliyah Noel both with 2 points each. Way to go, girls! The 8th graders will play Pennfield at home on Monday. Come on out and support your 8th-grade girls!

Harper Creek Middle School MISCA State meet is today and tomorrow at Lakeview High School. Diving Meet is today where Colin Alday and Zackary Laupp will be competing

Swim Meet is Saturday where Ava Kent, Emma Kent, Katie Duckworth, Eve Jerome, Lucy Schwartz, Hayley Dutkiewicz, and Lucas Russell will be competing
