Astro Fun World
- Who: 8th Grade Students
- What: Semester One Celebration
- Where: Astro Fun World, Battle Creek, MI
- When: Friday, December 19th during the school day
- Cost: $20 per student for unlimited play
On Friday, December 19th the 8th grade will be headed to Astro Fun World in Battle Creek, MI. Astro Fun World is a new local business that offers go-karting, mini-putt, arcade, inflatables, high ropes, laser tag and virtual reality. Payment can be a check payable to Harper Creek Middle School, cash or online payment at https://harpercreek.revtrak.net/field-trips/#/v/field-trips1. Those able and interested in contributing a donation to help alleviate financial stress on a student in need, please accompany in with your payment. Veterans Day Assembly
Tuesday, November 11, 2025 our 5th and 6th grade students gathered to honor Veterans Day with a special assembly. We were proud to welcome Harper Creek graduates Darrell Morris and Logan Ashley, who shared their experiences and reminded us what service and sacrifice truly mean. They also paid tribute to other Harper Creek graduates for their incredible commitment and bravery. We are so grateful for all our veterans and their dedication to protecting our freedoms.

We are excited to share two upcoming opportunities for students to be involved in musical theatre!
Matilda Jr.
Harper Creek Middle School and What A Do Theatre will be collaborating to present Matilda Jr. here at the middle school. Auditions will begin the week of March 9, and performances are scheduled for April 24–26, 2026. Detailed information will be available on Monday, March 2, 2026.
The Drowsy Chaperone – 7th & 8th Grade Students Only
Harper Creek High School will be performing The Drowsy Chaperone, and 7th and 8th grade students are invited to audition. Audition packets, including vocal selections, are now available in the main office.
While researching the show, be aware that we will be modifying certain elements to ensure it aligns with a PG-13 audience. This production has an additional opportunity for 8th Graders interested in working backstage or in the booth. Information about this will be announced in January. Please note: Students may participate in only one of the two productions, as the rehearsal schedules/tech week will overlap.
Students and home room teachers: Please clean out lockers and make sure all food is removed from your locker before the Holiday Break. If you receive a weekend food bag in your locker, please make sure you take it home and any other bags that may be in there.
Reminder: Today is Tuesday and the WMU interns are here, don't forget to come down at your assigned time.
Attention Staff and Students! Students, please remember to deposit your LEAD tickets in the grade level bin located in the cafeteria. Teachers don't forget to sign them so that you have a chance to win a prize too! Starting at the end of the month, there will be a prize for the student in each grade level who has received the most Lead Tickets.
In Sports News:
Calling all 5th and 6th grade girls. Are you ready to run, laugh and make new friends? Girls on the Run is back. Sign-up begins Monday, December 1st. Stop by the office for a flyer on how to sign up.
***All 6th, 7th, and 8th graders interested in joining the Middle School Swimming and Diving team, please meet in the auditorium after announcements to have a brief meeting with Coach Wager to learn more information about the upcoming season.
