Tuesday March 5, 2024 Today is an A Day

Happy Birthday to: Damon Burns, Mary Ann Feltner, Bentley Grammer, Carter Nichols, Addison Ryan.

 

7th grade A girls’ basketball played Marshall last night and lost 30-45. Leading scorers were Adeline Higgs with 15 points, Ella Brannen with 6 points, Zoie Fruin with 4 points, Samiya Thompson, Ande King, and Cara Prough with 2 points each. Great season ladies! 

The 8th grade girls’ basketball teams traveled to Marshall last night for their final game of the season. The B team played strong and ended on top with a 25 to 18 win. Top scorers were Natalia Hoyt with 11 points, Audrina Nelson with 4 points, Ava Kirsch and Brielle Gwin had 3 points, and Gabriella Moralez and Kaydence Jacox had 2 points. The A team played tough but fell short losing 29 to 32. Top scorers were Kendall Latimer with 10 points, Addie Mitchell with 6 points, , Avayda Dawe and Madelyn Gallagher with 4 points,  Aubrie Stuart with 3 points, and Rylee Zumer had 2 points. Ladies, Coach Ries and Coach Ellenwood are so proud of what you have accomplished this season!

In the last game of the season, 7th grade B girls' basketball had a big 39-9 win against Marshall.  Anna Loritz had 19 points, Bristol Latimer had 12 points, and Gabby Barosso and Payton May had 4 points each.  Thank you for a wonderful season full of fun.  All of you make your coach very proud!

March is reading month. Every Wednesday and Friday for the month of March we will have “dress up” days to celebrate.

Harper Creek Middle School, along with What A Do Theatre Company will perform SEUSSICAL JR.”  The cast features all HCMS students and will be held at the middle school auditorium. Bring you family to the performances on Friday, March 8th @ 7:30pm, Saturday, March 9th @3:30pm and Sunday, March 10th @3:30pm.  Tickets are $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for students, available on line or at the door.

Girls on the Run- Practice will be every Monday and Wednesday, right after school until 4:30. Meet in the library and be sure your ride is on time.

Attention potential track stars! Do you think you have what it takes to out run, out jump or out throw the competition? Or, maybe you want to just enjoy the sunshine and outdoors with your friends this spring? Track and Field sign up sheets for boys and girls are outside Mr. Ries’ room.

7th and 8th graders interested in playing Tennis, sign-ups are outside Mr. McManus’s room. Track sign-ups are outside Mr. Ries’ room. Please only sign yourself up.

Lacrosse and Equestrain Team sign ups are on the counter in the office.
