JV Lacrosse practice has been cancelled for today.
All applications for Student Council Representatives and Executive Board Positions are due by 3pm today, Friday May 3rd. Completed applications may be turned in in the main office or directly to Mr. Brinker in room 237. Please contact Mr. Brinker if you have any questions.
Attention all current NHS students you must submit you hours by May 10th in order for them to count. Make sure to submit them by 3 in order to remain in NHS.
Tickets for the Annual ‘Night of Jazz’, Dinner dance are on sale in the office and the band room. This event will be on May 18th starting at 6pm. There will be live music, a catered meal, dancing and raffles throughout the evening. Tickets are only $20 each.
Attention sophomores and juniors: We are now accepting applications for next year’s student leaders. Do you want to have a positive effect on our school culture? Apply to be a part of Student LEADERship and the Freshmen Mentor Program. Students who are selected as student ambassadors help incoming freshmen get acclimated to the high school during orientation, 3rd block Freshmen Focus, Math Lab, and Science Seminar. We need you! Applications are available outside the main office and in the counselor’s office. Deadline to apply is May 8.
Anyone looking for service hours or just to help out the community. The Battle Creek Family YMCA is in search of volunteers for this year’s. Cereal City Classic 5K/10K Run to direct runners on the course and cheer them on! The race will be held on Saturday, June 8th. Volunteers are needed from 6:50am-9:15am. Calling all males and females interested in joining us for Friday Night Lights! Sideline Cheer tryouts are just around the corner! No experience necessary, tryouts are to decide team placement. Juniors and Seniors -This years prom will be held on May 4th. If you have purchased a ticket for a guest, you must arrive with that guest. Staff will be checking tickets at the door. If your guests name is not on the list, they will NOT be admitted. If you have sold or given an extra ticket to another student, and their name is not on our list they will also be unable to attend. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Peet or Mrs. Deskins.

Attention Seniors: Please complete the “Awarded Scholarship” form in the Google Classroom with information on any scholarships you have received. We will be using this information for recognition at the Senior Award Ceremony and in the Graduation Commencement Program. Please complete this form by May 8th in order to receive recognition for your scholarships.
