There will be a LEAD ticket drawing every Friday in May. Don't forget to turn your LEAD tickets in with your first and last name on them. Teachers, don't forget to sign the LEAD tickets so that you can also be entered into a drawing for a prize.

📣 Attention Staff and Students! 🎉 Get ready to bring your creativity to life—it's time for our End-of-Year Door Decorating Contest! ✨🚪As we wrap up another fantastic school year, let’s celebrate with color, creativity, and school spirit. Starting this week, each 1st hour class is invited to decorate their doors with a theme that reflects the joy, memories, and accomplishments of this year, or the excitement for summer ahead!  Decorating will end on Wednesday, the 21st, at the end of the school day. Happy decorating!

Today's question is: In Chapter 18, how does Chase's journey towards understanding his past actions and developing empathy for others reflect the importance of self-awareness and personal growth in building positive relationships? (Please read Chapter 19 for tomorrow.)

In Sports News- The girls’ track and field team had a strong showing against Marshall, delivering a wave of standout performances and personal bests with an overall score of 119 to 34! Way to go, ladies! In sprints,

Alaina Kirkpatrick blazed through the 100 meters, taking first place with a time of 13.48.  She also helped anchor the winning 4x200 relay, joining Bristol Latimer, Holland Van Dussen, and Amara Gothard to run a time of 1:57.56. Bristol Latimer took first in the 70-meter dash, and later teamed up with Carsen Bunker, Amara Gothard, and Gabriella Barroso to win the 4x100 relay in 56.12. In the 200 meters, Ella Brannen secured first place with a time of 28.91 seconds, followed closely by Ryker Long in second and Carsen Bunker in third—Carsen earning a personal record of 31.03.

Ella Brannen returned to the track in the 4x400 relay, joining Mya Mattens, Abby Miller, and Sarah Murphy for first place with a time of 4:43.61. In mid-distance events, Alaina Kirkpatrick ran a lightning-fast 400 meters, taking first place and setting an ALL-TIME SCHOOL RECORD with a time of 1:00.92. Way to go, Alaina!!  Abby Miller followed with a personal best in second and Sarah Murphy took fourth with a new personal best  . Carsen Bunker dominated the 800 meters, taking first, while teammates Anna Loritz and Lyla Zumer completed the Harper Creek sweep. Anna Loritz returned in the 1600 meters to take first, with Lyla Zumer and Lucy Schwartz rounding out the top three. In the 3200 meters, Marissa Demorest took first, and Lucy Schwartz earned second with a new PR. In hurdles, Lilyan Gandy won the 55m hurdles with a personal best of 10.14 and placed second in the 200m hurdles, also a PR. Adeline Higgs followed in third in both the 55 and 200 hurdles with a personal best as well.In relays, Harper Creek dominated, winning every single relay. Our girls claimed first in the 4x100, 4x200, 4x400, and 4x800 relays. In the field events, Adeline Higgs powered her way to first in shot put at 30’10”. Harper Creek also swept the high jump, led by Holland Van Dussen with a PR of 4’6”, followed by Ella Brannen in second, and Emery Decker in third. Ella Asher cleared 5’0” to win the pole vault. In the long jump, Sarah Murphy earned second with a jump of 13 0.5”, and Gabriella Barroso followed in third. What an incredible meet full of PRs, victories, and teamwork. Congratulations to all our athletes for their hard work and determination! Next week, the track teams head to Jackson Northwest for the league meet. Wish them luck and go, Beavers!

It was another strong showing for the Harper Creek boys track team, with multiple top finishes and an impressive number of personal records! Connor O'Connell had himself a day—he soared to first in the pole vault at 8 feet and blazed to second in the 70-meter dash with a personal record of 9.32. He also grabbed third in the 100 meters with another PR of 12.95! Brady Atton delivered in the sprints, placing third in the 70 meters and second in the 100 meters, both with personal bests—9.33 and 12.82. Jamier Page took fourth in the 70 and 200-meter dash, notching personal records in both events. Cooper Monroe brought in two big finishes: second in the 200 meters (26.27 PR) and second in the high jump, matching the winning height of 4'10" with a PR of his own. Jacob Gallagher continued his dominance in distance, winning both the 400 meters (1:00.25 PR) and the 800 meters (2:33.86 PR). He also claimed third in the long jump with a personal best of 15'4.5". Landan Jenkins finished second in the 800 meters (tie) with a PR and grabbed fourth in the 400 meters (1:02.76 PR). He also placed second in the 3200 meters (13:27.80 PR). Josiah Ruble had a fantastic hurdle double—winning both the 55m hurdles (9.42 PR) and 200m hurdles, and finishing second in the long jump with a PR of 15' 8". Andon Elkins placed third in the 55m hurdles (10.43 PR), second in the 200m hurdles (32.58 PR), and cleared 4'4" in high jump for a personal record. Jaxon Culver took third in the 200m hurdles (35.93 PR) and helped lead the 4x200 relay to victory with teammates Wagner, Deal, and Page. Brock Wagner had a breakthrough in the pole vault, grabbing third with a PR of 6'6", and was part of the 1st place 4x400 and 4x200 relay teams. Karsen Anderson threw 30 4" in the shot put, good for third place, and ran on both the 4x100 and 4x200 relays. The track team will compete in its final meet next Wednesday for the League Championship.  Good luck, Beavers!

In Tennis - Monday, Harper tied with Jackson Parma Western 4-4. Our MVPs were Adam King, who played hard in his first game of singles for the season, Taym Ali, who played a great game and gave our team a hard-earned win, Owen Neely & Annika Keifer, who won a tiebreaker and played great as a team.

Last night we played our last match of the season against BCC, and the team worked hard to win 10-4. Many teams played their best game of the season. Our MVPs were Peyton Clark & Noah Martin, and Kennedy Clark & Rachel Rangel. Way to go, team! We are so proud of you. Be ready for our last practice of the year today after school!

Softball has a Home game vs. Gull Lake tonight.
